For a start...

We witness so many different things everyday…Within a single day we’re capable to combine the most poisonous moment with the light which makes us smile on a sunny day. We often look to the newspapers, to the web, to the screens or to anything in the street with indifferent eyes and we even forget, among this chaos, that we are living creatures…Life itself puts us into this situation slowly but surely…Exactly as the system wants us to do…

Of course, our experiences are different from one and other about what we see, what we live, what we feel; as different as our ways of life…However, what we feel when something is torn out from us or when a loved one leaves us for good is so similar…When I stop for a moment, I notice popular music imposed on me, authors who want their pictures to be exposed everywhere just because they wrote a book, some of the press which has become the puppets of governments who convey the image that everything is just fine, a municipal mentality which has shut down cultural centers or which plans to demolish movie theaters in the middle of a “cultural capital” year…Maybe these have attracted your attention, too…Nevertheless, as I mentioned before, we often turn a blind eye to these because of multiple external factors which drive us to be indifferent; and we often keep our anger to ourselves, staying silent…

While these thoughts were strolling through my mind’s dark corridors, the will of sharing these feelings with other people has arisen. Sketching out and sharing this with people…To get new friends, even though virtual, to correspond, to write incessantly…To watch the words coming out of my mind move through different channels and to do so without any control or limitation…To feel, while thinking about getting a blog, both uneasiness and excitement of writing without knowing where it will end…

What do I promise you on these pages? What to do in a foreign city when you’ve got a very limited time, a different version of the news presented to you in a whole different manner by your usual sources, a different perspective without alienating anybody, a newly published book gathering dust in the book store, a best-seller which nobody understands why everybody purchase it, musicians who try to do something unorthodox and adored or hated because of that, what you have missed or not missed at all when you didn’t attend a cultural event…

I must say right away that I’m not going to write only pleasant things and I thank everybody who has read these first lines…

Follow up…
